There are books we write.
And there are books that write themselves through us.
When I look back, I realize that each of my books emerged from a passage of life that first asked to be lived before it could be expressed.
I did not set out to write a series about healing.
I set out to walk through life as honestly as I could.
And the books followed.
Semper Fidelis was born from presence.
It emerged from the understanding that beneath the movement of life, there exists a place within us that remains faithful, steady, and untouched by circumstance.
A place of silence.
A place of prayer.
A place of remembrance.
Then came Au-delà du voile.
A book born from grief, love, and the mystery that continues beyond physical absence.
It was written while learning that love does not disappear when someone leaves this world.
It changes form.
It asks us to listen differently.
To feel differently.
To remain connected in ways that cannot always be explained.
And now comes Au-delà du rétablissement.
Perhaps the most intimate of the three.
Not because it speaks about illness.
But because it speaks about what comes after.
After survival.
After treatments.
After the crisis has passed.
It explores the quieter territory that few people discuss: the reconstruction of a life, a body, an identity, and a relationship with oneself.
These three books may appear different on the surface.
Yet for me, they are part of the same journey.
A journey through presence.
Through loss.
Through healing.
Through transformation.
Through the countless passages that shape a human life.
I did not write these books as an expert standing outside the experience.
I wrote them as someone walking through it.
As someone who has known uncertainty, grief, illness, resilience, reconstruction, and renewal.
If there is a common thread woven through every page I have written, it is this:
Healing is not about becoming someone else.
It is about returning, again and again, to what is most true within us.
Sometimes through silence.
Sometimes through tears.
Sometimes through love.
And sometimes through challenges that transform us forever.
My hope is that these books serve not as instructions, but as companions.
A gentle presence beside those who may be navigating their own passages.
Because no matter what we are living, we all cross thresholds.
And perhaps the greatest gift is discovering that we do not have to walk them alone.
