Integration & Reflection

What has been encountered may need time to settle.
Healing is not only found in what we do.
Sometimes something begins to change quietly after the practice, the conversation, the treatment, the prayer, or the difficult season has passed. We may notice a feeling we could not name before, a little more space within ourselves, or simply a need to rest with what has been lived.
Integration gives us permission not to rush ahead.
It is a time for noticing.
For listening.
For allowing what has touched us to find its own place within our lives.
There is nothing here that needs to be completed. The reflections and practices below are simply places you may return to when they feel supportive.
A Quiet Reflection
Writing can sometimes help us hear what is moving quietly within.
There is no need to answer every question. Perhaps one is enough.
What am I noticing within myself today?
What feels different, even slightly?
Where am I feeling tenderness, strength, uncertainty, or fatigue?
What seems to need more time?
What would it mean to meet myself gently today?
Whatever comes is enough.
And if nothing comes, that is enough too.
Listening to the Body
A few quiet moments can become an opportunity to notice the body without asking it to change.
Perhaps there is warmth somewhere.
Tension.
Heaviness.
Ease.
Fatigue.
Or simply the feeling of being supported by the chair, the bed, or the ground beneath you.
There is no particular sensation you need to find.
The practice is simply noticing what is here — with as little judgment as possible.
Breath & Presence
The breath can be a gentle place to return.
Not necessarily to control it or change its rhythm, but simply to notice that it is here.
A hand may rest over the heart or abdomen if that feels comforting.
For a few moments, there may be nothing else to accomplish.
Just this breath.
And then another.
Movement & Stillness
Some days the body may welcome gentle movement.
Other days it may ask for stillness.
A familiar movement from Qi Gong, Tai Chi, yoga, stretching, or simply walking slowly may offer a way of reconnecting with yourself.
The invitation is not to accomplish something through movement, but to notice how it feels to inhabit your body today.
And if rest is what your body needs, rest can also be part of the practice.
A Sacred Pause
A sacred space does not need to be elaborate.
A candle.
A piece of music.
A prayer.
A window opened toward the sky.
A few moments of silence.
Whatever helps you feel present can become a small ritual of return.
There may be an intention you wish to hold, something you wish to entrust to prayer, or perhaps nothing that needs words at all.
Sometimes simply being present is enough.
Questions to Carry Gently
These questions are not meant to be answered all at once. They can simply remain nearby.
What is asking for my attention?
Where do I notice strength within myself, even quietly?
What am I still learning to accept?
What needs tenderness rather than an answer?
What might I be ready to release?
What would it mean to honor my own pace?
Letting the Journey Settle
There may be value, from time to time, in looking back.
Not to measure progress.
Not to decide whether you are healing “well enough.”
Simply to notice.
Perhaps something that once felt overwhelming has softened.
Perhaps something remains difficult.
Perhaps a new question has appeared.
Perhaps nothing seems to have changed at all.
All of these can belong.
Integration does not ask us to become someone new. Sometimes it simply allows what we have lived to find a gentler place within us.
